We are proud to offer the 2019 Harvard Summer Softball Adventure! This program will run 2 weeknights per week, from June 24 thru August 2. It is available for all girls who are currently graduating from the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades.
One weeknight will consist of a practice/skills/drills, coached by our ringer: Michaela Mahoney. A Bromfield student and Harvard coaches will assist Michaela. Michaela will not only instruct our girls at various drill stations, she will also teach the coaches (so if you always wanted to learn more about coaching or softball, please join us). Our U10 coach, David Kilkenny, worked with Michaela extensively this season.
The second weeknight will consist of a sandlot game amongst ourselves (though we have reached out to other towns). We will organize the girls into teams, and parents will coach. The girls can put their new skills into practice.
Finally, our U10 coach will have a separate station to work with girls who are completely new to the game. This station will run for 1-2 weeks to get the new kids throwing properly, and to help them understand the basic rules.
This is a great way to introduce your player to softball, or to have your existing player work on their skills. We need lots of players to make this happen, so please register soon so that we can secure coaches and fields appropriately!!!
Questions, please contact Dave Kilkenny: email@example.com
